                New Ownership For Favorite Cartel
Half ownership interest in Favorite Cartel si 104 (Favorite Trick TB-Shenoshercorona, Co- rona Cartel) has been purchased by Bobby Cox of Cox Ranch. Cox purchased half interest from Jones and Thompson, while Dr. Steve Burns retains his half-interest in the stallion. Favorite Cartel, who has stood his entire career at Burns Ranch and will remain at the facility located
in Menifee, California, will stand for a fee of $12,500 for the 2020 season.
Favorite Cartel won three stakes races during his career on the track and earned $607,669. From five crops to race, he is a multiple Cham- pion sire of over $16 million in money earn- ers, putting him among the leading sires of
all time. He is the sire of over $7.6 million in 2019. Among his top earners are Lotta Blues Man ($935,399), Cartel Jess Rockin (2019, $840,640), Powerful Favorite (2019, $754,876) and Flokie (2019, $704,253), as well as 2018 Champion Aged Stallion Tarzanito (2019, $429,657) and 2017 Paint Champion Running Two-Year-Old Colt Im The Captain Now.
Favorite Cartel ended the 2019 season topping many AQHA leading sire lists. The 2007 brown stallion is the year’s #2 leading sire of money earners, Graded stakes winners, and of the top 100 money earners, second only to Apollitical Jess. Favorite Cartel is the
co-#1 leading sire of 2019 by Graded stakes winners (10, with Apollitical Jess), and the #1 leading sire of 2019 winners (150), two-year- old money earners ($5,325,337), two-year-old winners (78), and two-year-old Graded stakes winners (6). He is the sire of three of the top
10 money earners of 2019 with Cartel Jess Rockin (#2), Flokie (#4) and Runforyourlife (#9). Favorite Cartel is also the leading track sire of 2019 money earners at Arapahoe Park, Prineville, Emerald Downs, Los Alamitos, and Turf Paradise.
 Flash And Roll Returns Home
Multiple Champion breeder Julianna Hawn Holt purchased 2-time Champion Flash And Roll from owner Scott Bryant. “She (Hawn Holt), Bennie Greathouse and everyone here at the ranch are very excited,” executive assistant Velda Readel said. “She is going to be bred to (World Champion/multiple Champion sire) Apollitical Jess.”
Hawn Holt bred the filly on her Cross Triangle Ranch located near Blanco, Texas. Flash And Roll was sold as a yearling at the 2017 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale to Scott Bryant for $200,000. Flash And Roll re- turned to the ranch on Dec. 27.
Mike and Justin Joiner trained Flash And Roll in all three of her stakes wins, including the 2018 Golden State Million Futurity-G1 and Los Alamitos $2 Million Futurity-G1 and the 2019 Los Alamitos Super Derby-G1. The filly was named Champion 2 Year Old and Champion 2-Year-Old Filly in 2018
and has tallied total lifetime earnings of $1,710,718. Flash And Roll is by Champion/ multiple Champion sire First Moonflash and out of Champion Stylish Jess BR, by Feature Mr Jess.
