                The Gordon Crone Special Achievement Award

The loss of the highly respected AQHA Past President Dr. Glenn Blodgett in November rocked the Quarter Horse industry, but the impact he made and will continue to make means he has earned the Gordon Crone Special Achievement award.
He joined the Four Sixes Ranch in 1982, and served AQHA in many capacities, including as AQHA president. He is in the American Quarter Horse, Texas Horse Racing and Texas Cowboy halls of fame.
John Andreini Special Recognition Award

After decades as a respected trainer in the industry, John Cooper, 84, is retiring, and his body of work is recognized with the John Andreini Special Recognition Award, which is given to an individual who profoundly benefits the Quarter
Horse racing industry. Cooper trained the earners of more than $12.4 million, including champions Moonist, Separatist, Sign of Lanty and Tiny’s Gay.
He and his wife, Carol, will enjoy their retirement in Nampa, Idaho.
