The depth of talent that sprang from horses Lowell and Don bred increased exponentially as both Sixy Chick and Sixarun transitioned to breeding careers. Sixy Chick produced
eight starters and six winners out of nine registered foals, including six ROM earners. Her top money-earning foal was Le Ritz,
with $63,678. Le Ritz accomplished multiple graded stakes placed status with second-place finishes in the Miss Kindergarten Futurity-G2 and the California Derby Challenge, and a third in the Ed Burke Memorial Futurity-G1 all at Los Alamitos.
Sixarun sired the living legend Tres Seis, who was ranked second by earnings in 2001 and tallied six wins, three seconds and three thirds from 12 career starts. As a freshman, Tres Seis won his Rainbow Futurity trial, ran second in the All American Futurity-G1, won the Golden State Futurity-G1 and ran third in the Los Alamitos Million Futurity-G1. His second year out, he ran second in the Rainbow Derby-G2, won his All American Derby
trial and finished the Grade 1 final second by a neck.
In turn, Tres Seis sired the great Ochoa, who won both the All American Futurity and All American Derby — the sixth horse ever to accomplish both Grade 1 wins.
The gelding, out of Stolis Fortune by Stoli, also won the Rainbow Derby-G1, the
Mr Jet Moore Handicap, and the Robert L. Boniface Los Alamitos Invitational Championship-G1. The 2009 stallion was ranked first by earnings in 2011, and the following year finished first by wins and second by earnings. He ended his racing career with $2,781,365 and a 16-11-1-1 record. He was named AQHA Champion 2 Year Old and 2-Year-Old Gelding, Champion 3 Year Old and 3-Year-Old Gelding, AQHA Supreme Racehorse, and is Quarter Horse racing’s All-Time Leading Money Earner. He
was inducted into both the Ruidoso Downs and Texas Horse Racing Halls of Fame in 2016.
 SIXY CHICK,

Sixarun’s son Tres Seis sired the great Ochoa, AQHA’s all-time leading money earner who won both the All American Futurity-G1 and All American Derby-G1— the sixth horse ever to win both Grade 1 races.
They paid $4,200 for Ida Run and she paid them back many times over by producing a racing line beginning with the Chick’s Deck mare Chickarun (left), foaled in 1977.
