Blood First Impression Stallion
Apollitical Blood (Apollitical Jess- Brazilian Dasher, Fishers Dash) was inadvertently omitted from the First Impression Stallions, those with first
crop yearlings of 2018, in the July issue
of Speedhorse. At two, Apollitical Blood won his trial to the Ed Burke Million Futurity, finished fifth in the Grade 1 finals, won his All American Futurity trial, finished fourth in the Grade 1 finals, was second in his Golden State Million Futurity trial, finished second
in the Grade 1 finals, and won his Los Alamitos $2 Million Futurity trial and finished sixth in the Grade 1 finals to fin- ish the season with $502,960 in earnings. At three, Apollitical Blood won his All American Derby trial and won the Grade 1 finals, and then won his Texas Classic Derby trial and finished sixth in the Grade 1 finals. He earned $1,016,840 and was named the 2015 Champion Three- Year-Old Colt. In total, the 2012 bay stal- lion won six races and earned $1,519,800 before moving to stud at Robicheaux Ranch in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.
Apollitical Blood is the top earner by World Champion Apollitical Jess, and he is out of stakes placed winner Brazilian Dasher, an earner of $98,060, by Fishers Dash.
At the recent Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association Yearling Sale on Aug. 3-4, Apollitical Blood became the sire of the sales all-time leading high seller when Moonocracy reached a price of $210,000. See the LQHBA Yearling Sale results in this issue.
