Co-Broodmare of the Year Jess A Classy Lassy is bred, owned and raced by Ted Abrams. Her race record shows that she had two wins in six starts with earnings
of $31,379, and was a finalist in the 2007 Rainbow Futurity-G1 with a sixth-place finish. The produce record for this mare now stands at seven starters/ROM and one stakes winner with her foals earning over

Let’s start our look at Jess A Classy Lassy. This mare is by 1994 Champion
2 Year Old and Champion 2-Year-Old Colt Mr Jess Perry, sire of horses that
have won over $53 million including Champions Apollitical Jess, Matabari, One Famous Eagle, Noconi, Miss Racy Jess, Fredricksburg, Fredaville, Jess Louisiana Blue and A Revenant.
Mr Jess Perry is by 1988 Sound of Summer Derby winner Streakin La Jolla, who has earnings of $56,227. Streakin La Jolla is the sire of horses that have won over $25.2 million with 910 ROM and 87 stakes winners. World Champion Streakin Sin Tacha, earner of $692,842, is Streakin La Jolla’s leading money earner. Streakin La Jolla is by Streakin Six and out of Bottom’s Up by Raise Your Glass TB.

Co-Broodmare of the Year This Boogie Fires is bred and owned by Jaime Gomez, who also trained and raced the mare. She won three of her seven starts, earned black type with a third in the 2011 Kindergarten Futurity-G1 and has total earnings of $64,040. The produce record for This Boogie Fires now stands at four starters/winners/ROM and one stakes winner with her foals earning more than $1.5 million. Her daughter, J Fire Up who races for the partnership of Darling Farms, Jaime Gomez and Ernesto Solis, leads the
