                 2022 LOS ALAMITOS EQUINE SALE

LOS ALAMITOS - SALES
  The 18th annual Los Alamitos Equine Sale saw record numbers on Oct. 1-2, with 16 yearlings selling for $100,000 or more with an average of $37,509, a 21.6% increase from last year. 185 of the 225 horses offered sold for $6,983,400 , 164 of which were yearlings. The sale also crushed last year’s sale average for broodmares with 16 selling for $641,000 and an average of $40,062, which is an increase of 82.1%. Three mares sold for $100,000 or more, all of which were consigned by AQHA Hall of Fame member Abigail Kawananakoa.
The $300,000 high seller was Hip #111 Allways Remember (Favorite Cartel-Remember Me Rose, Corona Cartel), a 2021 brown filly consigned by Burns Ranch, Inc., agent and purchased by Taos River Ranch LLC. The filly is a full sister to Grade 1 stakes winners Powerful Favorite, Bomb Cyclone, Runforyourlife and Cyber Monday. She is out of AQHA Dam of Distinction Remember Me Rose.
The sale’s second-high seller at $207,000 was Hip #248 Tough Brother (Favorite Cartel-Nymph, Foose),
a 2021 sorrel colt consigned by Edward C. Allred and purchased by Juniors Quarter Horses, Inc. The colt
is a full brother to Sicario V, the 2022 All American Futurity-G1 second place finisher, and Frivolous, winner of the 2022 Governor’s Cup Futurity-RG1.

Hip #111, Allways Remember, was the high seller at $300,000 consigned by Burns Ranch, Agent and purchased by Taos River Ranch LLC.
