Donna Jean Welborn
Donna Jean Welborn, age 70, passed away on May 17, 2021, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born to Claude and Betty Dendy on July 14, 1950, in Portales, NM. Donna was a fun loving, passionate person that had a gift for always knowing the right words to say, especially to help a person that was going through difficult times. She graduated in 1995 from Eastern NM University with
a master’s degree in psychology. She worked
for several years with the NM Horsemen’s Association where she developed a love for horses and met her life partner, Wayne Noel. Donna was loved by all that had a chance to know her and will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her partner in life, Wayne Noel. Two sons along with their spouses; Jason and Pam Welborn; Quinton and Belinda Welborn. Grandchildren; Julia, Allyson, Todd, and Kenneth Welborn. Brother, Jimmy, and his spouse Charlotte Dendy. Sister, Janet, and her spouse Eugene Cross. She also had many nieces, nephews, and cousins in whom she loved dearly.
