                 Easy Date Stakes
Cat Daddys Lil Girl, a registered New Mexico-bred, earned her first stakes win outside of New Mexico in the April 17, 350-yard Easy Date Stakes for distaffers at Remington Park in Oklahoma City.
Prepped by Jason Giles for owners Jimmy Negrete and Jimmy Vasquez, Cat Daddys
Lil Girl covered 350 yards in :17.378 while defeating Ratification by a head. Noe Garcia Jr. rode the homebred 5-year-old daughter of Big Daddy Cartel.
Cat Daddys Lil Girl was making her first start since January 3, when the gray mare ran second, a half of 1-length behind winner Kiss Thru Fire, in the 400-yard, $100,000 Charger Bar Handicap (G1) at Los Alamitos.
Her sire, Big Daddy Cartel, is a 12-year-old son of Corona Cartel and the graded stakes winning Mr Eye Opener mare Miss Racy Eyes.
Racing at Ruidoso Downs in 2011, Big Daddy Cartel was a finalist in that sea-
son’s Grade 1 All American and Rainbow futurities. The stallion has sired the earners of more than $9.5 million from six crops, including graded stakes winners Bigg Daddy
and Donelli. He is owned by and stands for a $5,500 fee at Mac and Janis Murray’s MJ Farms at Veguita, New Mexico.
Cat Daddys Lil Girl’s dam, Girlonthego, is a 9-year-old daughter of Man On The Move and the winner of the 2014 Zia Futurity (RG1). She traces back to her third dam, Kiptys Wish, a winning and multiple stakes placed daughter of Kiptys Charger.
Cat Daddys Lil Girl has won eight of 18 races, and the $41,400 winner’s share of the $75,480 Easy Date Stakes purse pushed her bankroll to $388,682. Her three stakes vic- tories include the ‘19 New Mexico Fillies & Mares Championship (RG1) at Zia Park, and last year’s Lou Wooten and Sydney Valentini Handicap (RG2) at Sunland Park.
Runner-up Ratification was making her 4-year-old season debut. A sorrel daughter of Apollitical Jess owned by Bobby D. Cox, the homebred mare has won seven of 15 races and has earned $397,246, and her record includes victories in last year’s inaugural All American Oaks and Rainbow Oaks, both at Ruidoso Downs.
HH Gailforce ran third and was followed by Kieva, Macs Lady M, Kiss Thru Fire, Olena Sangria, Call Me Kash, Diamond And A Half, Chicks With Coronas, and Ritas Back On Track.
HH Gailforce is a multiple graded stakes winning 4-year-old Freighttrain B mare racing for the Egoizzta Partnership. HH Gailforce has won five of 16 starts, including two graded stakes, and she has banked $284,121.
