BIG CRUSH BB
   Javier M. Chavez’s Big Crush BB extended his win streak with a one-length victory in the July 22, $50,000 Zia Stakes (RG2) for New Mexico-bred Quarter Horses at Ruidoso Downs.
Sent to post as the 13-10 favorite in a full field of 10, Big Crush BB covered 400 yards in :19.435 while posting a 99 speed index. Emilio Tapia rode the gray 4-year- old son of Big Daddy Cartel for trainer Jose DeHerrera.
Big Crush BB was coming off of a 1 1/4 length victory in the June 4, 400-yard Jess Burner Stakes (R) for New Mexico-breds
at Ruidoso Downs. The stallion was bred by Ralph Vincent and Beverly Bourguet of Albuquerque. His sire, Big Daddy Cartel, is a 14-year-old winning son of Corona Cartel. Raced exclusively at Ruidoso Downs in 2011, Big Daddy Cartel earned $121,800 from five starts and was a finalist in that season’s Grade 1 All American and Rainbow futurities.
Big Daddy Cartel has from eight crops sired the earners of more than $18.4 million, including multiple graded stakes
winners Bigg Daddy and Cat Daddys Lil Girl. The stallion is owned by and stands for a $7,000 fee at Mac and Janis Murray’s MJ Farms at Veguita, New Mexico.
Big Crush BB is out of Eagles First Down, an unraced daughter of 2008 AQHA champion sophomore colt One Famous Eagle. The stallion traces back
to his third dam, Folsanon, a winning daughter of Fol’s Native (TB) and a finalist in the 1989 Shebester (G2) and Oklahoma (G3) futurities at Blue Ribbon Downs.
Big Crush BB began his three-race win streak with a three-quarter length victory in a division of the April 28, $100,000 Jimmy Drake Stakes (RG3) at SunRay Park. Raced in two states, including California, Big Crush BB has won six of 18 starts, and the $30,000 winner’s share of the purse from his third career stakes score increased his earnings to $202,460.

was followed by HS Paul Walker, Diezs Daylight, Hunky McGoo, Jesses Dinero, Blue Riband, Don Chuy C, Forrest Effort and Mr Perry Moon.
A 5-year-old gray son of the One Famous Eagle stallion One Handsome Man, Fly On Down banked the $10,000 runner-up share of the purse for his owner, Dalia F. Aranda. The stallion has won six of 25 races, including a division of the April 28 Jimmy Drake Stakes, and he has earned $265,125.
HS Paul Walker races for Hubaldo Solis of Peralta, New Mexico. The homebred graded stakes winning 7-year-old Osbaldo gelding has won eight of 36 outs and has banked $310,342.
