SSCLASSYJESS

Multiple stakes winner SS Classyjess, a classy 6-year-old daughter of Rock Solid Jess, evidently has plenty of run left in her legs despite
having made 47 lifetime starts ahead of the Gillespie County Fair Sprint Classic on Aug. 27. Taking advantage of a clean trip, SS Classyjess not only won the $16,000 stakes event, but she established a New Track Record in the impressive performance.
Ridden by Juan Garcia, SS Classyjess was
away alertly in the 250-yard dash. She asserted her superiority in the early stages and edged clear late
to score by 3/4-lengths. SS Classyjess stopped the timer in :13.160, eclipsing SR Esmeralda’s 2017 track record of :13.178. The winner’s final time earned a speed index of 106.
Trainer Jose Carrizales saddled SS Classyjess for owner Edgar Rosales. It was the 24th career win for SS Classyjess from 48 lifetime starts and the $9,000 winner’s share of the purse increased her earnings to $505,124. Bred in Texas by Ronnie Stewart/Double S Farm, SS Classyjess is produced from the Royal Shake Em mare High Class Broad.
Runner-up Em High Country (Docs Best Card- Johns Party Girl) and jockey Jose Martinez offered game chase but had to settle for the place spot in the colors of owner Efrain Mendez and trainer Luis Ramirez. Mr Teco (Man Who Wouldbe King-My Cold Corona), with jockey Luciano Duenez in the saddle, finished third for owner Jose Oviedo and trainer Victor Oviedo.
Doc McCrocklin (Dash Master Jess-Pink Cartel), Quemados Royal Moon (First Moonflash-A Royal Lead), Magic Black Jack (Jet Black Patriot- Stoli Alikat), Shesa Otoole Yawis (Fast Dashin Dude-Otoole Yawis), Little Party Wagon (Little PYC-Anns Party Doll TB), and TF Toast To Corona (Mighty Corona-Jodys Toast) followed. KK Blue Wagon was scratched.
Cherry Creek Futurity Lucille Rowe Derby FEARLESSFORTITUDE KALIK

In the Cherry Creek Futurity, it was fastest qualifier Fearless Fortitude with a win by a nose. The Cherry Creek Futurity was hosted by Arapahoe Park as a
350-yard event with a total purse worth $97,845. The filly had to fight hard in the Aug. 14 trials to
win by a head and she had to have a fearless spirit to win the finals by a nose.
Jockey Martin Lazalde was aboard in both and in the finals, they stuck their nose in front of the field at mid-race and that’s the way they crossed the wire. in :17.952 to earn an 88 speed index.
The daughter of Flare For Ivory also earned the first place check worth $39,138. That ups her lifetime earnings to $57,738, and her race record stands at two wins out of four career starts. She has won her last two in a row.
Her team includes owner Barron Racing LLC and trainer Jose M Barron. Bred in Colorado by M Vaughn &/ Jill Cook, she is out of the mare Ima Fearless Fire who has produced four foals, with Fearless Fortitude as her best product.
Pulgarcitos Moonin (Moonin The Eagle-Tahiti Wave) ran 2nd in his trial for the second fastest qualifying time. In the finals he ran true to form, finishing in 2nd for owner Francisco J Cornejo and trainer Haley N Hobbs. Fernando Fonseca- Soto was in the irons. The third fastest qualifier finished third in the finals - Country Rocket Foose (Foose-Wess Country Chick) for owner Jose Pena and trainer Uriel Delgado. Alan Hernandez was handling the reins. Kali K has won seven of eight starts, with her latest in the Lucille Rowe Derby, a 350-yard race held at Arapahoe Park on Aug. 28 that carried a total purse
worth $67,110. The filly came into the finals with the fastest qualifying time from the Aug. 14 trials, and she didn’t dissapoint in the finals.
She stepped away from the number one post with Jose Lopez aboard. They didn’t get the first call but by mid-race they were a neck to the good.
They crossed the line with the same neck margin of victory, stopping the timer at :17.772 to earn a 93 speed index.
The daughter of One Fabulous Eagle also earned the first place check worth $26,844. That takes her lifetime earnings to $86,473 for her team that includes owner Luis Marquez and trainer Alexander Orozco.
Kali K was bred in Colorado by Darling Farms out of the mare A Secret Episode. She is a ROM earner with almost $20,000 banked. She has produced three foals and Kali K is her best product.
Kickin Good Time (Jess Good Candy-Kickin Escalation) had the fifth fastest time. In the finals she stepped up her game to deadheat for second. Connections include owner George L. Seward and trainer Shawna Manriquez. Fernando Fonseca-Soto was in the saddle. Also in a deadheat for second was Mr Dash Fire (Dash Kicker-Lovin M Leave M), who won his trial heat for the second fastest qualifying time. He is owned by Felipe Pena and trained by Alexander Orozco. James Flores was in the irons.
They were followed by DG Armageddon
