R. D. Hubbard and Johnny Cope came into the partnership. William Maher later joined the partnership. His next start came in the All American trials where he won his trial
as the fastest qualifier on the first day with
a time of :21.148 ahead of Handsome Jack Flash. But a slow break and a bump kept him from reaching the All American Dream. He finished seventh. The winner was Handsome Jack Flash. His next start was a win in the trials to the 2013 Texas Classic Futurity and he finished fourth in the Grade 1 finals. His two-year-old record shows that he made seven starts with four wins and one second, earning his black type with the second in
the Heritage Place Futurity-G1. He earned $321,280 in his two-year-old year.
Hes Relentless started his three-year-old campaign with an allowance win in which he set a New Track Record for 350 yards in :16.82 at Remington Park. His next out was in his trial to the Rainbow Derby-G1 back at Ruidoso, but he was third in the finals. The All American Derby-G1 trials were next where he finished second in his trial and
did not qualify to the finals. He became a graded stakes winner in the Hobbs America Derby-G3, winning his trial and then the finals. The colt made two more starts in his race career where he finished third in the
Zia Park Championship-G1 and was second in the Championship at Sunland Park-G1. His three-year-old record came to eight starts with four wins, two seconds and two thirds earning $295,100. Hes Relentless was named the 2014 Champion Three-Year-Old Colt. His overall record shows that he had 15 starts, including eight wins, three seconds and two thirds, earning $616,380.

The stakes placed runners out of Crazy Down Corona includes Lotas First with a third in the 2021 Belles Stakes, and she was a finalist in the 2021 Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge Stakes-G3. Her second stakes placed runner is Cartel Envy, who was third in the Cherokee Nation Stakes, and she was a finalist in the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Derby-RG3.
We started our look at Hes Judgeandjury with how hard it is to race in and win the All American Futurity. Many have failed but they still have great potential, and many go on to racing success beyond the big Futurity. Many of them become noted sires. Hes Relentless was one of those that had
the credentials to run in the All American Futurity and win, but failed to reach the winner’s circle and finished seventh in the 2013 All American Futurity. But now he is one of the few that has found redemption,
in that one of his foals has now achieved the All American Dream when Hes Judgeandjury won the 2022 All American Futurity-G1.
Holt tells us his reason for breeding to Hes Relentless, “There again my breeding budget at that time could not afford to go back to Apollitical Jess like we did with Empressum, and his money hadn’t kicked in yet. But Hes Relentless was an outstanding individual and sure enough a racehorse. I went over to look at him and just loved his conformation. I wasn’t looking for a big, discounted breeding but I couldn’t go pay $30,000 at the time. But I believed in the horse. He was a sure enough racehorse and I like dealing with Bob Moore Farms. I breed over there quite a little bit.”
He added this about his breeding plans to Hes Relentless, “I thought this family would cross really well on him. This mare is a grand individual. She is probably 15.3 hands to 16 hands that weighs 1400 pounds. She is just not a mare you are going to see in every pasture.”
Hes Relentless was bred by the Sunflower Supply Company. He was purchased as a yearling by Tom Maher, who was his owner for his first three starts. Jason Olmstead found the colt for Maher, and he became his trainer. He had great potential as a two year old and that made him a good candidate to run in the All American Futurity. He won his maiden in April 2013 at Remington Park and then won his Heritage Place Futurity trial the next month, placing second in the 2013 Heritage Place Futurity-G1 finals. From Remington he went to Ruidoso where
