     The 43rd annual Heritage Place Yearling Sale was held Sept. 24-25 in Oklahoma City. This year’s sale results set new records, with 94% of cataloged horses sold, a record $33,887 average sale price and a $26,000 median. Preliminary results show gross receipts reached $21,348,800 for 630 horses sold, a 60% increase over last year.
“We certainly appreciate the breeders, consignors, buyers and everyone’s staff that make the sale a success for everyone,” said Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney.
The highest seller at $450,000 was Hip #656 Reminder (Favorite Cartel-Remember Me Rose, Corona Cartel) consigned by Burns Ranch, Agent and purchased by John Simmons of Simmons Racing. The brown filly is a sibling to eight blacktype runners, including 2021 Brad McKinzie Winter Championship-G1 winner Powerful Favorite. Reminder is by multiple Champions sire Favorite Cartel and out
of AQHA Dam of Distinction and 4-time stakes winner Remember Me Rose.
The second highest seller at $260,000 was Hip #575 Politiseis (Apollitical Jess-Senorita Tres, Tres Seis) consigned by Walter Harrison, James Ranch, Agent and purchased by La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC. The gray colt is a brother to two stakes winners, is by 9-time Champion sire/World Champion Apollitical Jess, and is out of 11-time stakes winner New Track Record setter Senorita Tres.
