He enjoyed visiting his ranch in Oklahoma, going to the casino with his wife Josefina, and with spend- ing time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Josefina, five daughters and a son, and many grandchildren and family members.
Champion Catchmeinyourdreams Dies
Five-time Champion Catchmeinyourdreams (Pritzi Dash-Lizas Mystique, White Tie) was laid to rest on Aug. 4, at the age of 22. He was buried on owner Kirk Goodfellow’s Dreams Come
True Ranch in Nacogdoches, Texas, next to their AQHA Hall of Fame mare Dashing Phoebe. The 1999 gray gelding was bred by Dr. Ed Allred and purchased in utero by Goodfellow. Over the span of 7 years, he earned $1,040,929 winning 14 races, including 8 stakes races. He was 2003 Champion Aged Horse & Champion Aged Gelding; 2004
Champion Aged Gelding; and 2005 Champion Aged Horse & Champion Aged Gelding. Catchmeinyourdreams was retired in 2007 and enjoyed the rest of his days at Goodfellow’s ranch.
Storm is the sire of 25 Thoroughbred stakes winners and the earners of $14.6 million, as well as 19 Quarter Horse winners, four stakes horses, and the earners of $927,191.
Drop Your Sox Dies
1996 sorrel gelding Drop Your Sox (A Classic Dash-Merri Madam, Merridoc) died on July
8 at the age of 25. Bred in California by Alvin Ely, Drop Your Sox sold as a yearling to Legacy Ranch Inc. He was claimed by D. Wayne Lukas in his first start and Laura Pinelli purchased him in 1999 and owned him for the remainder of his life. Drop My Sox made 42 starts over 7 years, with 11 wins, three stakes wins and $141,181 in earnings. He was honored as an AQHA Superior Racehorse in 2000 and was the 1999 California Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Gelding.
Freshman Sire Fine Oak Corona Dies
Mountain State Equine announced that Fine Oak Corona (Coronas Prospect-Like A Fine Oak, Oak Tree Special) died from complica- tions related to colic on July 1. The stallion
won four races, earned $227,312, and was ranked as a leader by earnings in 2015. He was second in the Ruidoso Futurity-G1, and was
a finalist in the Rainbow Futurity-G1, West Texas Futurity-G2, West Texas Maturity-G2, Lovington Stakes-G2 and All American Juvenile. His first foals are 2 year olds of 2021.

Leading NM TB Sire Attila’s Storm Dies
Attila’s Storm (Forest Wildcat-Sweet Symmetry, Magesterial), a Grade 3 stakes winner and stakes sire of Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses, died after suffering a heart attack while recovering from colic surgery on June 23. The 2002 stallion made 18 starts with 5 wins and earnings of $534,983. In 2007, longtime Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred breeder R.D. Hubbard purchased the stallion and retired him to the breeding barn. In 2020, Attila’s Storm was sold as part of the online R.D. Hubbard dispersal sale. He was purchased by Jimmy Vasquez for $90,000 and stood the 2021 breeding season at Double LL Farms. Attila’s
