The photo on page 196 shows stakes winner Sixes Liaison (Sixes Royal-Streakin Liaison, Streakin La Jolla) winning the 2010 Sam Houston Futurity-G1.
Bred by Ted G. Abrams, Sixes Liaison is by Grade 1 stakes winner Sixes Royal and out of 3-time winner Streakin Liaison, half-sister to The Getaway Handicap-G3 winner Ill Do The Job.
Sixes Liaison began his career at two years of age with three consecutive wins, and he raced until he was four. In addition to his Sam Houston Futurity-G1 win, the 2008 stallion was also a finalist in the 2010 Southwest Juvenile Championship-G1 and Evangeline Downs Derby. He retired from the track with $169,524 in earnings and moved on to the breeding shed at Victory Farms.
Sixes Liaison is the sire of multiple winners from limited starters, including Keen Liaison, winner of the 2017 Sterlie Bertram Memorial and Harley Greene Derby as well as a runner-up in the 2018 Indiana Grand Classic. Sixes Liaison is also the sire of stakes placed Dreamers Liaison, Sixes Loaded To Fly and Kitty Sixup.
In 2021, the stallion was purchased by Ryan Sellers of Sellers Ranch in North Platte, Nebraska, and is being shown as a halter horse. Shown by Jason Smith, Sixes Liaison finished in the top-five at the Farnam AQHA World Championship Show. The stallion will continue to stand at Sellers Ranch where Ryan hopes to expand his impact as a crossover sire.
