Thoroughbreds. At the end of each event, the side pot is paid out in a three-division progres- sive format in accordance with National Barrel Horse Association standards.
Meanwhile, SGPEvents.net will be tracking the points and managing the entries from each of these side pots. Year-end awards are planned for the horses that end the year in the total top five.
Enlow described the response to the pro- gram thus far as “incredible. More than I ever imagined it would be this quickly. I knew there was a need for this program, but I didn’t know it would grow this fast.”

Track to Tack is still rather new, but Enlow already has clear goals in mind for 2023 and beyond. Next year, she wants the program to be strong enough to charge an annual enrollment fee for participants—and to have 1,000 horses enrolled by the end of 2023. Another goal for next year is to run two or three regional races at barrel events that are exclusively for horses coming off the track. As of now, the plan is to run one of those races in Oklahoma, one in Nebraska, and the third at a more eastern loca- tion to be determined.
“One of my goals is to see Track to Tack on the eligibilities list in the Heritage Place catalog for their mixed sale,” Enlow said.
Enlow also is looking to add new sponsors
to Track to Tack. Specifically, she’s seeking businesses that are willing to contribute physical prizes for year-end rewards in return for promo- tion and advertisement by the program. For more information or for sponsorship opportuni- ties, look up Track to Tack on Facebook or email the organization at tracktotack@gmail.com.
