The 45th annual Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale was held over three days in Oklahoma City on Nov. 3-5, 2022. Of the 733 horses offered, 649 were sold with gross sales of $10,673,800. The average selling price was $16,447.
“A strong market continued through the final day of the Fall Mixed Sale,” says Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney. “The 3-day average was $16,417 and we sold 91%
of the horses through the sale ring. The entire sale, start to finish, averaged $16,053 to
represent a 4% increase in the overall average compared to 2021.”
The $360,00 high seller was Hip #335
Jess Fire Me (Walk Thru Fire-Jess Sass Me,
Mr Jess Perry), a 3-year-old colt consigned
by Lazy E Ranch LLC, agent and purchased
by Reliance Ranches LLC. Jess Fire Me was second in the Ruidoso Futurity-G1, a finalist in the Los Alamitos Super Derby-G1 and earned $242,442. He is standing his first year at stud in 2023 at Lazy E Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
The second high seller was Hip #602 Cosmopolitanne (Corona Cartel-Eye Popping, Mr Eye Opener), consigned by Bobby D.
Cox and purchased by Grants Farms LLC for $200,000. The 2018 gray mare is a winner and sold in foal to Favorite Cartel.
Reliance Ranches LLC was the sale’s leading buyer, purchasing six horses for $609,800, including the high seller. Leading consignor Bobby D. Cox sold 38 horses for gross receipts of $1,837,500.
