Library bringing The Great Outdoors inside
By Patte Smith
Clever and fun event ideas never seem to cease at Douglas County Libraries – Castle Pines. For 2018, a few of the very enthusiastic sta members joined together and designed
a monthly, year-long program that will be launched in January – The Great Outdoors.
Thought about keeping chickens? In February, learn how to build a coop, run it
and keep chickens year-round. Bugs scare
a lot of people, but are interesting to others. Overcome fear and learn that bugs can be our buddies in August. Wildlife lovers learn how elevation a ects animals and where they live – mountains or plains.
The sessions will be held the rst Thursday of each month from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m., starting
with Homesteader sites in Douglas County on Thursday, January 4 in the library’s event hall. All events are free.
