This year, 10 Timber Trail Elementary (TTE) students participated in the Highlands Ranch Regional Art Show, which was held at Douglas County Libraries - Highlands Ranch. The annual show is a regional one, and only schools that are part of Highlands Ranch feeder schools are a part of the show. TTE was invited to participate because the school feeds into Rock Canyon High School. Participants included students from kindergarten through fth grade. There was not a speci c theme, and the show highlighted the exemplary artwork that represented what the students are capable of creating at their individual grade level. Artwork will be displayed throughout the library until December 6, and viewers can browse at their leisure during normal operating hours.

Information provided by the Douglas/Elbert Task Force
Christmas morning can be
especially sad for children
when their parents are
unable to buy them a gift.
The Douglas/Elbert Task Force Adopt-A-Family program "Santa's Sharing" helps by organizing sponsors for families in need. Individuals, businesses and groups willing to share the joy of the holidays are urged to "adopt" a local family going through di cult times.
The Task Force needs gift card donations to help provide holiday meals or sponsors to adopt a family for Christmas. To sponsor a family, donate gifts, cash or gift cards to any of the Task Force's Santa Sharing programs, a sponsor application form must be completed. The form and information can be found at www.detaskforce.org.
Each year there are families who cannot be sponsored because of a language barrier,
special circumstances or homelessness. For
these families, the Task Force collects new and unwrapped gifts for the Toy Chest. Volunteers select two or three gifts for each child and provide older children and adults with gift cards. Gift wrap, tape and ribbon are also needed by the toy chest. Request a toy list at SantaSDETF@aol.com.
Deliver toys for the Toy Chest between December 1-13. For more information, visit https://www. detaskforce.org/santas-sharing-program-2/.
