HOBBY LOBBY (R etail, In S tore Visit)
• Store was SO BUSY....and it was a Tuesday, mid-morning. In one store the shelves of 2 whole aisles were completely empty and employees were scrambling to add other merchandise. ...but they said there was no more Christmas inventory shipping to them.
• Prices were very sharp. Merchandise mostly relevant and the value was there for the price.
• Huge Assortment of Ornaments. Best and Broadest assortment of any store visited this season.
• A Christmas theme for anyone! Rustic Woodland, Farmhouse, Whimsical Kids, The Grinch, Traditional Red/Green,
Baking Theme, Red & White, Unicorn Teen Girl Theme.
• Only disappointing category was Christmas pillows. Focus on Rae Dunn simple canvas was not compelling with
rest of the Christmas assortment.
• Significant emphasis on tabletop. Everything to set the whole table and help in the kitchen. Mugs, Tea Towels, Pot
Holders, Placemats, Runners, Chargers, Napkin Rings, Salt & Pepper, Spoon Rest, Paper Products.
• And BUFFALO CHECK...everywhere; hand crafted, DIY looks
