Volume V RETAIL,Christmas 2019 November & December 2019
AT HOME (R etail, In S tore Visit)
• The store overall was lackluster, Uninspiring and Empty;
• Large Center area of store full of holiday items brought together for emphasis or lifestyle but most of the
merchandise seemed cheap, poor quality and then piled together made all the merchandise not relevant and
junky. Right next to it was Spring set up and ready. A little too close to the Christmas for beginning of December.
• Bright spot...one aisle with multiple “trends” identified with signage and specific merchandise that applies to that
trend. Merchandise looks relevant, current and provides customer with styling ideas.
• Furniture area was sad. Damaged furniture, lots of dust, and not one customer.
• The few vignette pods set up in store overall looked nice to provide customers with a vision or lifestyle but it
wasn’t enough to save it from all the other chaos.
