  THE CEREBELLUM
 — The cerebellum is located in the posterior fossa of the cranium.
— The cerebellum consists of two hemispheres, right and left, that
are coupled at the midline by the cerebellar vermis.
— The cerebellar tonsils, named for their shape, are located on the undersurface of the cerebellum and become distorted in the presence of spina bifida and Arnold-Chiari malformations.
