The Cerebrum
The cerebral hemispheres are linked in the midline by the corpus callosum, a thick band of tissue that provides communication between right and left halves of the brain.
The meninges are three protective tissues layers that cover the brain and the spinal cord.
The innermost layer of the meninges is the pia mater, the middle layer is the arachnoid membrane, and the dense, outermost layer is the dura mater.
