Fetal Orbital Abnormalities
– Hypertelorism is also associated with craniosynostosis and many chromosomal abnormalities.
▪ A reduction in the distance between the orbits is referred to as hypotelorism.
– The most common cause of hypotelorism is holoprosencephaly, with trisomy 13 being the most frequently associated chromosomal abnormality.
