PLANT FARM
With spring coming to an end, Tawakoni Plant Farm would like to thank our customers for a
wonderful season! 2017 has given us an actual spring - moderate temperatures, paired with
just the right amount of rain, made for excellent retail and landscape sales. For summer 2017,
perennials continue to be be canned up and are coming on every day, and shrubs are also
coming on and being canned every week. Also exciting: Distylium have just been put in to
their final pot sizes and will be ready soon! In case you have not heard, Distylium have been
promoted as an excellent alternative to, the often leaf spot prone, Indian Hawthorn. Distylium
have gorgeous, glossy, true green leaves, have an excellent habit, and are fast growers
(when talking shrubs). Since they have been promoted as an alternative to the Indian
Hawthorn, we have grown them in the exact same conditions we would grow a Rhaphiolepis
species, and we have been quite impressed by them. This is a limited quantity run, so book now
to get em while we got em! We have two varieties available, Vintage Jade and Emerald Heights,
