What is T3S and LTAP?
South Carolina’s Transportation Technology Transfer Service (T3S) provides cost effective access to world-wide technology information, and facilitates knowledge building for individuals and agencies that maintain rural and local roads. T3S is proud to be a member of the Federal Highway Administration’s Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP). The LTAP network, created in 1982, consists of 52 centers throughout the United States, including Puerto Rico and a regional tribal center.
T3S exists to help local agencies use existing resources more effectiently and to cope with transportation problems by increasing their expertise through technical and management materials, training and advice.
If technology is to be effective it must be shared, understood, and used. T3S is a vehicle for moving innovative technology to the local transportation community. It is the primary source within South Carolina for a wide range of useful ideas, training strategies and solutions.
T3S is location in the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University.
