Each year's Fall temperature cool down is usually accompa- nied by some of the world's biggest barbecue contests. Many diehard barbecue fans refer to this as the "Fall BBQ Push." This year the decision on which events to attend will be much easier to make, but I am betting that doesn't mean there will be fewer smokers and grills turning out championship quality proteins.

I think the 2020 version of this "Fall BBQ Push" will include many barbecue fans trying some new dishes, sharing their grilled and smoked treats with neighbors or family, and a whole bunch of homegating during weekend football games. Personally, our 2020 version of this Fall Push is going to be cooking for a few locals who are older and can't get out to enjoy our local restaurants. We are also planning to help our local private school with a fundraiser that will consist of a nice steak dinner that will be ready for pick up one Friday evening. We will also be cooking for our family Thanksgiving. This event is sure to be much different as we try to keep everyone safe and sound while visiting with those we have not seen in a while.
Like most folks, we have been firing up our grills and pits like never before over the spring and summer. I know we will do a lit- tle cleaning and maintenance on our equipment before this push begins to ensure we don't experience any added hiccups. I surely hope others are doing the same before their push gets started as well.
