We have been blessed here at Big Papas Country Kitchen with good health and a following of folks that like our food and have supported our business during these COVID and strange political times. We are firm believers if you give thanks to the Lord and treat people good, things will get better. We have learned to social distance and safely serve our clients as best as we can. If you compare us to the big chain stores and restaurants we have visited we are defi- nitely doing a great job!
We don’t travel and compete like we used to but the SCA
steak competitions have allowed us to do attend a few com- petitions to keep our competitive spirit alive. We recently cooked steaks at the Jimmy Jam contest and it was fun to see some of our old BBQ friends there. Budmeister looked great and Josh ain't a kid no more. Uncle Buck looked happy, Skinny looked great, the Carter boys showed they still got it, and Bull Rush and family looked great too. To everyone else, it was great seeing the old gang. We must have the FBA BBQ reunion contest at some point. I’m thinking Damon Wooley can make that happen one day!
