The Ohio Physical Therapy Association is pleased to re-introduce LEAP: Fall 2020 (formerly OPTimize: OPTA's Lecture Series and Research Showcase), scheduled for Friday, Sept . 25 in a virtual format .
In 2021, APTA will celebrate 100 years and propel us forward into the next century as the largest community for physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students . As we look forward to this landmark centennial, we want to embrace our rich history and generate momentum toward our important clinical future with evidence translation at LEAP: Fall 2020 by sharing Clinical Pearls to Optimize Your Best Practice .
The day-long LEAP program will showcase clinical or scientific projects Linking Evidence And Practice through a series of LEAP Talks, platform lectures, and poster presentations .
Content leaders will inspire and educate our audience with pithy, well-developed, research- based “pearls” of information . They will link evidence and practice (LEAP) with 18-minute LEAP Talks .

LEAP TALKS: 18-MINUTE PRESENTATIONS THAT ENGAGE AND INSPIRE
LEAP: Fall 2020 will also highlight three platform lectures and present 14 research posters on
a variety of physical therapy topics via an interactive platform . The Best Platform, Best Poster, and grant recipients, as well as recognition of our 2019 award recipients, will be featured during a lively lunchtime production . We don’t rest on our laurels - the OPTA Conference Committee will soon be seeking presentation and TRANSFORM Talk proposals for next year’s Annual Conference . Bring your transformative knowledge and physical therapy expertise to TRANSFORM 2021 Annual Conference scheduled for April 23-24 in Columbus, where we hope to be sharing best practices in person .
TRANSFORM is about advancing physical therapy practice by evaluating significant and evolving topics and is your opportunity to present essential and progressive practices that will influence patient outcomes and the future of our profession . Physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students will enhance their skills and join in constructive concept exchanges through innovative educational sessions .
