As I reflect on my desire to serve as a delegate, I believe the constituents might be asking why does she
want to serve now? I have been a member of APTA and have been involved over the last 40 years in Ohio, Maryland, and Florida. I held positions as officers and chairpersons, being the Treasurer and Public Relations Chair in Maryland, and the Public Relations Chair in Ohio . Recently, due to membership growth, I have been able to serve this year (2020) as an Ohio Delegate, and I am truly honored for the opportunity . I have been involved in lobbying for the PT profession, and the American Heart Association . The legal processes that govern our association are familiar to me . What I believe I offer Ohio is not only understanding the process, but a broad perspective on issues . I have been in academia for the last 23 years, which allows me to bring the educational perspective to the table . As educators, we are always thinking about the future of the profession . We are training the clinicians of the future . The environment in which they will practice is very important
to educators . Also, I have practiced in a number of settings, and held leadership positions in them all . This experience combined adds to my broad perspective on the issues . I am committed to work diligently for you, considering all viewpoints as the delegation makes decisions regarding the issues facing our profession . Thank you for your consideration .

I am thrilled to have an opportunity to run for the position of delegate for the Ohio Physical Therapy Association . I believe delegate is one of the most important positions in our association . The House
of Delegates is not only responsible for electing the officials that will lead our association, but is also responsible for shaping the vision and future of our profession . As a delegate I would make sure to attend as many district and chapter functions as I can . A good delegate should not only be approachable but accessible to the members he or she serves . I look forward to this opportunity, and I thank you for supporting our profession and association .

I am humbled to be nominated for an OPTA Delegate position . OPTA and APTA are trailblazing organizations that have shaped the future of our profession, and I feel honored to currently serve as the Research Coordinator for the Northeast District . Being part of the Northeast District keeps me well-informed of issues currently affecting our profession and inspires me to stay active in the profession . It has provided me exposure to the OPTA legislative process and has allowed for the opportunity to meet inspiring individuals in our profession . Our exemplary districts make us stronger as a state .
Supporting the OPTA/APTA is a key part of my professional identity. I firmly believe that when our profession excels, each of us excel as individual physical therapists . I am inspired to run for a Delegate position in 2020, as our profession has recently experienced significant reimbursement shifts and legislative changes that directly impact physical therapy practice . Since being awarded the OPTA Emerging Leader Award in 2012, I have dutifully attempted to fulfill the expectations that come with being a leader. If elected, I will continue to push our profession forward by challenging each of us as individuals and all of us as a whole . I appreciate your vote and support for the position of OPTA Delegate . If elected, I will work tirelessly to elevate our profession .
