2019 ANNUAL CONFERENCE WRAP-UP
Were you TRANSFORMED at the 2019
OPTA Annual Conference, April 5-6?
The conference featured four learning tracks and introduced targeted programming for Early Professionals.
From the opening keynote by Kathy Parry on “Rubber Band Resilience: How to Stretch without Snapping” to the closing afternoon workshops on Saturday afternoon, the programming contained tracks of deep dives, regular sessions, and Transform Talks led by more than 40 content leaders . Plus, opportunities to talk with exhibitors and learn about new products and services . Friday evening concluded with the member-favorite PACcy Hour that boasted a stellar spread of food and beverage, as well as live entertainment (with a few tables joining in!) .
And on Saturday wasn’t all serious education – there was a lively “Meet the Candidates” with balloons and tough questions for the candidates running for statewide office. The PTA 50th Anniversary celebration hit a high note with recognition of all PTAs in attendance . Saturday’s luncheon concluded with standing ovations for our 2018 Award Recipients .
Annual conference is two days jam packed with education, fun and excitement – mark your calendars for next year’s event, set for April 24-25, 2020 in Columbus!
Members participated in interactive conference sessions, enjoyed Therapy Madness and connected with old and new colleagues!
Attendees visited vendors and experienced a host of new products and services.
