Over my years of research I have assigned a variety of different possible parents to Francis. And, after careful research, I had to eliminate them all.
For quite some time I was certain that Francis Bryan must have been a direct descendant of Morgan Bryan (1671-1763) who married Martha Strode (1695-1762). A descendant through the patriline...sharing the same Bryan YDNA as Morgan. I was wrong. But I wasn't totally wrong... there is a form of connection. Just not one I could have imagined.
