THE ANCESTRY OF WILLIAM BRYAN, SR.
I have always been skeptical of the Bryan family histories that list Francis Bryan and Sara Brinker as the parents of William Bryan (and usually, Morgan Bryan, as well). William Smith Bryan and Catherine Morgan are listed as the parents of Francis Bryan.
