Page 70 - The Ancestry of Francis Bryan (1770-1863)
P. 70

I stumbled onto Shelley’ work when I was reading a genealogy blog. I decided to hire her to produce a network graph for me that compared the DNA matches on Ancestry.com for my sister, my brother and myself. Unlike the usual linear cluster graphs, Shelley’s program sorts the clusters out into somewhat circular clusters spread over the whole page. As someone with a visual/kinesthetic learning style, these graphs make much more sense to me than the linear graphs. I can easily hone in on a particular cluster and easily read the names. And I find them very visually appealing...which is fun!
Below is a sample, with fictitious names, of what you see when you magnify the PDF to 100% view. The right hand page is an example of the PDF graph at 25% magnification (with match names removed).
These are random samples from Shelley's website ConnectedDNA.com .
