SCANDI DAYS...
6
Get down to London’s Battersea Park this September to enjoy a crash course in Scandinavian design
THE FOYER DISPLAY of The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair will be themed to showcase design from Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, with two room-sets capturing the contrasting moods of life up there nearer to the Arctic Circle.
Set against the dreamy, light-infused long Midsummer days (very Ingmar Bergman), deep Midwinter nights glow with the vivid colours of the aurora borealis. Especially interesting is the showcasing of classical Gustavian and traditional folk furniture blended elegantly with the sleek lines of Mid-century Scandinavian design, creating a very 21st century eclecticism.
