Single-Stage vs. Two Stage Bypass Motors
Two-stage bypass motors provide discharge of vacuum air from the fan case with a separate fan system to cool the motor. Clean air is drawn into the top of the motor and discharged through motor housing vents protecting the motor from direct exposure to moisture and contaminants that could affect its performance. Vacuums with two-stage bypass motors are more expensive, but last signi cantly longer than vacuums with single stage motors.
