OSHA requires that re extinguishers must be freely accessible at all times, placed in a conspicuous location, and well maintained. Our Portable Fire Extinguisher Stand not only helps with OSHA compliance, but saves time (from having to build one) and money since they are reusable and can be taken from jobsite to jobsite. Lightweight molded polyethylene with environmentally safe sand lled base (10 lb. has 20 lbs. of sand, 20 lb. has 25 lb. sand ). Faultless casters for easy mobility. Replacement windows available.
The following guidelines will help you comply with safety regulations and make buying fire extinguishers easy.
OSHA Requirements for Fire Extinguishers
Single Story Building:
(1) 10 lb. Fire Extinguisher for every 3,000 sq. ft. and within 100 ft. of any point.
Multi-Story Building:
(1) 10 lb. Fire Extinguisher per oor (every 3,000 sq. ft.)
(1) 10 lb. Fire Extinguisher at each stairwell access
Fuel Storage Sites:
(1) 10 lb. Fire Extinguisher within 50 ft. of every fuel storage site of 5 gallons or more.
Welders & Torches:
(1) 5 lb. Fire Extinguisher within reach of every welder and torch.
Local or General Contractor Requirements for Fire Extinguishers
Mechanized Equipment:
(1) 5 lb. Fire Extinguisher on each piece of mechanized equipment. Vehicles:
(1) 2 1/2 lb. Fire Extinguisher on each vehicle (excluding private vehicles in parking areas).
Temporary Storage Sites:
(1) 5 lb. Fire Extinguisher in each temporary storage site (includes tool trailers, equipment trailers, material storage).
Of ce Trailers:
(1) 5 lb. Fire Extinguisher in each jobsite of ce trailer (3,000 sq. ft. rule applies).

Effective against Class A, B, and C res. All sizes feature a large and easy to read pressure gauge allowing instant and accurate pressure checks. Both handles and levers are made of pressed heavy gauge metal. Lever locks prevent accidental discharge. Forged, aluminum valve for maximum durability. Cylinders are made of aluminum and steel and have a chip-resistant epoxy nish. All units are rechargeable. UL® listed, DOT approved and FM listed for 5 lb. units and over. 6 year warranty.
