The Mouse Queen takes pursuit, but with only the poor Troll Princess to drag the barge, she is left far behind.
The Nutcracker, Clara and Coffee rush out of the castle, across the draw bridge and over the snow to their woodland hideout.

Mother Ginger comes out of hiding with a plea to save
the inhabitants of the Land of Sweets, who have been
hiding under her skirts.

FAR FROM THE MOUSE QUEEN'S HUNGRY GAZE. NO LONGER PLAYING IN THE LIGHT,
NO NEED TO TEMPT HER APPETITE.
