materials being used to make this solar collector reduce its cost by 10 times as compared to the present available solar collectors in market. This would help in mitigating the energy crunches and provide
ample of source of power. Its low cost would motivate people to switch to this technology resulting in achieving a green and clean environment. Just imagine, how efficient it would be if we can coat this extremely flexible, self-cleaning solar energy harvesting systems on the surface of the building, which can meet its energy requirements and cut the cost of labour and cleaning.
The fabricated material
finds another application in defence. For a country like India which shares its international boundaries with different nations it becomes very important to have a very strong defense system. How helpful it would be if our air crafts cannot be detected by radar system of enemy territories? This has been translated into reality by engineering the material developed by the author to extend its range of absorption to microwave region of electromagnetic spectrum, which is the working range of radar. Taking it to the next step, the flexible solar collectors being developed by the author showing black body like absorption behaviour can be coated on the surveillance systems

like drone which would, in turn, increase the working efficiency without being caught by the enemy.
Last but not the least, this ultra-black optical absorbers can also be used in space exploration. This developed super black absorber can be used in telescopes to improve its efficiency for better position and understanding of celestial bodies and space phenomenon. Moreover, the fabricated optical absorber can be used for calibrating optical devices such as spectrometers. In addition to this the ultra-black surface of absorber has huge potential to be used in infrared
cameras.
To conclude, near perfect absorbing
and self-cleaning material fabricated by the author can prove to be a boon in addressing problem of increasing energy needs, defense system. The future work of research would include to incorporate self-healing properties to the material, which is again inspired by the regenerating mechanism of body part by the lizard. The lizard is capable to regrow its tail if cut by some accident, in similar condition further research would focus on exploring some these aspects. The developed black body finds huge potential from defence to energy sector to counter India’s energy requirements.
The ease of fabrication and the materials being used to make this solar collector reduce its cost by 10 times as compared to the present available solar collectors in market. This would help in mitigating the energy crunches and provide ample of source of power.
