water can be effectively reused within the industries for several purposes like cooling, cleaning, etc. This immensely helps to recover a large amount of generated wastewater within an industry.
Complete degradation of textile effluents demands primary, secondary and tertiary treatment processes. But in our proposed hybrid system, pulsed power plasma completely degrades the pollutant after EC-F as a primary treatment. Further, a large amount of wastewater can be effectively reused in the industry so that the discharge of waste in the
environment reduces. Hence, the pollution levels of various water bodies nearby various textile industries can be significantly minimized. Finally, unlike the rest, the proposed hybrid treatment system provides a sustainable long term solution to water scarcity, which is not only limited to textile industries.
Our paper got published in the Process Safety and Environmental Protection titled ‘Electrocoagulation-Flotation Assisted Pulsed Power Plasma Technology for the complete mineralization of potentially toxic dyes and textile wastewater’.
