 subconscious brain was active, and it seemed like my soul started travelling for getting an answer to all questions arising in my mind.
My soul entered the brain of that (maid’s husband) alcoholic, and after reaching the midbrain, it found two genes in dopaminergic neurons: COMT (polymorphic COMT; pCOMT) andDRD2(polymorphicDRD2;pDRD2).They both sounded very excited. My soul had hidden itself behind a selected cell in order to listen to their conversation and know the reason behind their happiness. Their conversation depicted that pCOMT and pDRD2 genes were very happy. They were talking about some changes in them, which had created a false mentality that they were now much stronger than before. Due to this, they could now scold anyone, show aggression and also use abusive words freely without any fear. I only understood that these two genes were very mischievous and got happiness by giving pain to society. Yet, my questions were unanswered.
Therefore, the next target of my soul was to enter the brain of my maid. There again, the two genes were present in dopaminergic neurons (normal copies of the two genes). What! It was quite surprising that they were upset. This time I could not control myself to establish a conversation with both of them. Therefore, my soul started talking to these two genes to know the reason why they were upset.
COMT gene said that they were healthy and performing their function in the best way they could. But still, they could not control the violence over their residing body. I asked, ‘What can be the reason behind this aggression and violence? In fact, your both mischievous brothers (pCOMT and pDRD2) are very happy in the brain of an alcoholic.’. DRD2 gene

continued the conversation and told that, in some individuals, their siblings were present and, unfortunately, they both were unhealthy. This was because of single-nucleotide polymorphism, which had taken place in them where the nucleotide was changed, causing their dysfunction; consequently, the altered function of proteins occurred. COMT gene told that, because of this, their dopaminergic reward pathway was affected, leading to some unusual effects, which resulted in unwanted aggression, violence and many more. They might be the deep root of the problems from which an individual was suffering and one of the ultimate reasons for the pain and sorrows the society was facing. Those polymorphic genes should be guilty within themselves, but nothing was as such; they showed their aggression and got happiness by spreading sorrow to society.
Some of the queries were resolved now after listening to both the genes, but my mind was not relaxed as the solution to a major problem was yet to be achieved. The next morning, I woke up with
certain specified targets. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter, basically a happy hormone in common language. It is a very important neurotransmitter, playing a crucial role in the reward mechanism. It is released at a specific interval after a specific stimulus and gets degraded continuously after its function. But due to this polymorphism, the enzymatic degradation of dopamine by COMT enzyme is reduced and the receptor expression is altered in the case of DRD2,
leading to hypodopaminergic state.
Many works related to this have been
carried out worldwide, including India, which have already have shown the role of this gene
   Alcohol is responsible for ruining the happiness of the entire family. It causes a financial crisis in the family. Major road accidents happen due to uncontrolled drinking.
