of contact binaries and found that there was a strong correlation between them, indicating that magnetic activity strongly depends on the orbital period. Since the magnetic activity of such closely interacting binaries is still unclear, our group is performing further investigation on this aspect.
More precise photometry can refine the technique used such that even smaller sized third bodies such as exoplanets can be

detected. The existence of exoplanets around contact binaries has not been confirmed yet. The questions of formation, stability and life sustainability of exoplanets in binary systems remain unanswered.
Some of these questions might get answered with the upcoming facilities such as the Thirty Meter Telescope or possibly a future space telescope working in the optical wavelength.
