Imposition of Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess (AIDC) [Effective from 02-02- 2021]
AIDC is being imposed on Petrol and High-speed diesel at the rate of H 2.5 per litre and H 4 per litre respectively. Simultaneously, Basic Excise Duty (BED) and Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on Petrol and High-speed diesel is being calibrated vide Notification 01/2021-CE and 02/2021 dated 01-02-2021. No changes have been proposed for Road and Infrastructure Cess (RIC). The table below summarizes the change in various duties applicable to Petrol and Diesel:
