– Critical Race Theory

A Particular Danger in Secular Think, Speech, and

Education – Regarding the condition of humanity, there
is a growing secular theory, known as Critical Race
Theory. This theory purports to explain why a disparity

persists between people groups. It is entrenched in
cultural Marxism. Its objective is to divide the world into

white oppressors and non-white victims. It uses personal
stories of marginalized minority “victim” groups (black,

Hispanic, female, and homosexuals) as incontrovertible
proof of the dishonesty of their mostly white

heterosexual oppressors.

Critical Race Theory is gaining popularity within the

media, social circles, academia, and surprisingly, some
Christian institutions. For example, so-called social

justice warriors immersed in Marxism have infiltrated
the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and begun the

process of transforming their foundations. In the
summer of 2019, the SBC passed a resolution supporting
Critical Race Theory and intersectionality as analytical

tools for understanding “race” in America. This is

especially troubling because of the theory’s Marxist
origins. Instead of class warfare between workers and
owners, Marxism always advances never-ending conflict

between victims and oppressors. Furthermore, it is
