 Householders
 2.2 the insured have described the type of stock to be insured;
2.3 the insured premises are still predominantly used for residential purposes;
2.4 the business activities do not introduce additional risks to the private dwelling or outbuildings such as spray-painting or welding;
2.5 the Liability of the Company in respect of any one occurrence shall not exceed R30 000 (thirty thousand rand);
1.3 landlord’s fixtures and fittings, the property of the Insured or for which they are legally responsible; 2. Domestic personnel shall mean:
A worker who performs service in and about the Insured's premises for reward, be it on a part time and/or permanent basis, for the purposes of maintaining the Insured's household and/or private garden.
SPECIFIC EXCEPTION
This Section does not cover:
1. property outside the Republic of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique
2. consequential loss or consequential damage of any kind whatsoever except as provided in Sub-Section B – Rent
3. depreciation, or gradual causes such as wear and tear, deterioration, rust, rising damp and mildew, corrosion or decay
4. damage caused by moths, vermin or insects, domestic pets, wild animals or reptiles
5. negotiable securities such as deeds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes and cheques
6. manuscripts or documents of any kind
7. prepaid phone cards or cellphone vouchers
8. motor vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, golf carts, three-wheeled vehicles, quad-bikes, caravans, trailers and all fitted accessories
9. aircraft, pleasure-craft, hang-gliders and their equipment
10. livestock or other animals
11. rare books, medals, individual stamp or coins, unless specified in the Schedule
12. any electronic data processing equipment not being used for domestic and/or farming purposes only;
PROVIDED THAT:
1. such electronic data processing equipment used for domestic and/or farming purposes only will be subject to a First Amount Payable of 10% (ten percent) or R750 (seven hundred and fifty rand) whichever is the higher of each and every claim;
2. the liability of the Company on such electronic equipment will be limited to a maximum amount of R25 000 (twenty five thousand rand) any one occurrence.
13. any loss claimable under another clause or section of the policy.
SUB-SECTION B – RENT DEFINED EVENTS
Loss of rent for which the Insured is liable as occupier of the dwelling, in consequence of the dwelling or portion thereof being so damaged by any of the perils specified in Sub-Section A as to be rendered uninhabitable, but only in respect of the period necessary for reinstatement.
The Company will also pay:
1. any reasonable additional costs incurred in providing alternative board and lodging for the Insured, his family and domestic staff normally residing with the Insured;
2. necessary transit and storage expenses in respect of furniture.
