Householders
PROVIDED THAT:
The Company shall not be liable for the first R500 (five hundred rand) in respect of any one occurrence.
Discomfort cover
In the event of a total loss of the premises caused by any insured peril for which the Company had indemnified the Insured, an additional amount of R10 000 (ten thousand rand) will be paid to the Insured for any discomfort suffered.
Domestic refrigerator, deep-freeze, cold store and freezing-room contents
This Section covers deterioration of the contents only due to change of temperature resulting from failure of power following upon an accidental occurrence or failure of power supplied by public authorities (excluding load shedding) or mechanical breakdown or accidental damage of any refrigerator, deep-freezer, cold store or freezing-room in the dwelling of the Insured;
PROVIDED THAT:
this Extension does not include:
1. deterioration of the contents resulting from the deliberate cessation of the power supply (gas and paraffin included) by any public authority;
2. damage to the refrigerator, deep-freezer, cold store or freezing-room as such;
PROVIDED FURTHER THAT:
1. the liability of the Company in terms of this Extension shall not exceed the amount of R10 000 (ten thousand rand) in respect of any one occurrence;
2. the Insured shall be responsible for the first R500 (five hundred rand) of each and every claim.
Domestic telephone instruments
If in the dwelling any domestic telephone instrument (excluding cellular telephones) is accidentally damaged the Company will indemnify the Insured up to R3 000 (three thousand rand) per instrument any one claim.
Domestic worker’s property
The Company will cover loss or damage to your domestic worker’s household goods and personal property caused by an insured event in your home or any of the outbuildings excluding money and negotiable instruments;
PROVIDED THAT:
1. loss or damage by theft is excluded unless such theft is accompanied by forcible and violent entry or exit into or out of the dwelling;
2. the liability of the Company shall not exceed R15 000 (fifteen thousand rand) any one occurrence.
Full-house (bowls)
If the insured score a full-house as an amateur bowler, the Company will cover the traditional celebratory expenses that usually accompany the event up to R2 500 (two thousand five hundred rand). The full-house must be certified by the bowling club.
Hole-in-one (golf)
If the insured score a hole-in-one as an amateur golfer, the Company will cover for the traditional celebratory expenses that usually accompany the event up to R5 000 (five thousand rand). The hole-in-one must be certified by the golf club.
Increase in sum insured over holiday season
The Company will increase the sum insured stated in the Schedule of the contents by 10% (ten percent) during the holiday period of 15 December to 31 January.
