Mr. Baty has had a great impact on my life. Not only has he increased my love and passion for singing, but he has also taught me to be a better person. As some of you may know, he loves watching speeches, specifically those about bettering your life. Last year, before Covid, when Baty had an obsession with sleep, it was important to him that his classes learn about the value of sleep. Although this did make me very conscious of my sleeping habits, for better or for worse, I know he just wanted us to live better lives. Mr. Baty cares so much about his students, which he shows through his teaching; he makes sure everyone feels included and important. That is why I chose him to
be my Distinguished Educator.
