Through every practice as I panted and barely kept pace, Maureen would be as calm as ever, talking and joking. Not only is she a superhuman runner, but she is an incredible mentor as well.
She encouraged and supported me, regardless of the outcome of a race. When I was hard on myself, she helped me to understand that my results did not define me. Maureen, thank you for being a positive role model and always believing in me.
