In my sophomore year, I was quiet, and I wouldn’t talk to anyone besides my friends. Being in Mrs. Mitchell’s class changed that. In our debate unit, I was so nervous to speak in front of everyone, but Mrs. Mitchell believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. She taught me how to use a voice I never knew I had, and there’s no greater lesson than that. Thank you, Mrs. Mitchell, for helping me grow not only as a student, but as a person too.
