Every day for two years, I looked forward to the warm smell of coffee in Mrs. Bartels’ room during French class. From my first conjugation to jumping from first to third year French, I couldn’t have asked for
a kinder or more compassionate mentor. I learned countless lessons about life, especially the importance of building interpersonal relationships through studying the book The Little Prince and reaching out to me as I struggled in early quarantine. I’m lucky that Mrs. Bartels touched my life, as she has done for countless others.
