I first met Jonna as a freshman at the beginning of my first cross country season at Helena High. It was her first year coaching, so we were both new to the program. Over the years we became closer each season, as I am the only one on the team who has stayed throughout all of her seasons as a coach. We’ve bonded through many long runs, lots
of personal conversations, and talks of running future marathons. I thank Jonna for all the encouragement and wisdom that she’s provided me.
